The Lanificio Nannucci & c. is a textile company that celebrated in the 2000 the 28th year of life; The strongest strenght of the Lanificio since its origin it is the production of medium fine woolen fabrics for woman, man and children, mainly aimed at big retailing groups, shop chains and distributors.

The mill was established in 1972 as individual company due to the initative of Nuccio Nannucci in the old plant situated in Via Tagliamento,25 in the centre of Prato as then it was used to. From the beginning the mill is able to achieve an important position in the local production this because of the slogan "quality, punctuality, flexibility" that accompanies the company till today. The winning ideas are the production of fabrics in medium/high quality using the most valuable raw materials of natural origin and not regenerated. The purchase of the woolmark and woolmark blend license from IWS (one of first licensees in the Prato area), the punctuality in delivering orders and the attention to give timely answers to more and more selected customers that are devoted but rightly pretend to receive good quality.

In these years the mill transformed its own production and provided new outside structures always under its control, specialized in carded production and finishing that are able to satisfy all exigencies of production.

At the end of the eighties Nuccio Nannucci avails himself of his two sons cooperation, Nicola and Francesca; the first one as export manager and marketing supervisor, the second as production manager and textile designer that plans the production and styles personally the collection of the mill.

The 10th May 1993 is an historical date for the company; the mill transfers his activity in the new modern and actual seat in Via Yuri Gagarin 16/18 in Prato from where its is managed the production and the export of fabric in all over the world. Today the Company has grown much using new technologies but it keeps always the typical "familiar character" with a familiar management and all this bring the mill to export fabrics in all over the world. Every year the Lanificio Nannucci produces fabrics and scarves using the most valuable fibers of natural origin such as wool, cashmere, angora or mohair.

There are two new ranges that have been adjoined to the fall/winter collections : the stretch range and a " fancy" range built availing of collaboration also of international fashion studios.

The Yearly production is around 700.000,00 Mts. Today after many years in the third millennium our slogan is still "quality, punctuality, flexibility". 90% of production is exported to Europe, South America, Asia and Oceanic.
